Indications for Use
Manufacturing dental drill guides for placing dental implants.
Indication: Generative manufacturing of drill guides using 3D printing. This serves the dentist as a guide rail during drilling.
Contraindication
If an acrylic allergy exists, an allergic reaction may occur.
Patient Target Group
Patients with a single-tooth gap, partially and/or completely edentulous upper and/or lower jaw.
Process Description
Preparation
- Alignment of drill guide: vertical supports, connection of supports to a baseplate.
- During processing of the liquid material, wear personal protective equipment (e.g. suitable gloves, safety goggles).
- Carefully pour the material into the pre-determined container of the production unit.
- Remove all bubbles with a cleaned object.
Processing After Printing
- Further processing is recommended directly after printing (see steps below).
- After printing, allow approx. 10 minutes dripping time.
Cleaning
- Cleaning and post curing including supports and baseplate to avoid warpage.
- Clean in isopropanol medium (purity ≥97%) in bath. Fill two containers:
- Pre-clean with isopropanol for 6 minutes (first container).
- Blow out using compressed air (pay attention to holes).
- Main cleaning with isopropanol for 6 minutes (second container).
- Blow out again using compressed air.
Post-Curing
- After post-curing, remove supporting structures and base plate.
