Colorfabb Light Weight High Temp PLA filament reduces weight of printed parts by allowing its density to be adjusted based on printing temperature.
Print 2–3 times more parts compared to regular non expanding materials.
This is the new higher temperature handling version of the prove Colorfabb LW-PLA.
It was originally designed for aeromodelling to make light weight aeroplane & drone hulls.
But it has been very successful as a casting pattern in lost wax style casting processes.
Initially, we used standard PLA for lost wax casting patterns.
But since PLA-LW is lower density, there is less PLA to burn out.
This makes much cleaner patterns & has far reduced ash in the process.
