Colorfabb Light Weight PLA filament reduces weight of printed parts by 65%, by allowing its density to be adjusted based on printing temperature.

It was originally designed for aeromodelling to make light weight aeroplane & drone hulls.
But it has been very successful as a casting pattern in lost wax style casting processes.
Initially, we used standard PLA for lost wax casting patterns.
But since PLA-LW is lower density, there is less PLA to burn out.
This makes much cleaner patterns & has far reduced ash in the process.
