Facilan™ Ortho is a versatile and high-quality polyester, known for its clean white appearance. It exhibits exceptional mechanical properties and has a density of about 1.2kg/cm3. With a melting point around 60°C, it is a safe and easy-to-print thermoplastic. The flexibility and toughness of Facilan™ Ortho, attributed to its glass transition temperature of -60°C, make it highly durable. Moreover, it is a biodegradable plastic, meeting compostability standards according to EN13432. One of its unique features is its excellent adhesion to textiles, allowing easy combination and bonding with textile inserts or other shoe components. Additionally, the low melting point of Facilan™ Ortho enables it to be easily reshaped with warm water after 3D printing.

 Print Settings 

  • Print Temperature: 130°C (130 to 170°C)
  • Bed Temperature: 30-45°C
  • Adhesion: PEI Sheets
  • Print Speed: 10mm/s  (10 – 30 mm/s)
  • Mass flow: 120 %
  • Fan Speed: 100%
  • Note: Add M302 S120 into the beginning of the g-code to allow cold extrusion, below 170°C
  • Extra: Minimum Layer Time considerably +/- 60 sec minimum, highly dependent of model size and complexity and enabled Lift Head.
  • Support: If PVA or breakaway Support = enabled; Support overhang angle = 0°; Enable Prime Tower = Enabled. Support with Facilan Ortho onto itself: not recommended

These guys are awesome. I used to buy my filament from overseas for my projects and needed something in a hurry and went looking for something local. I'm so glad I did. Sent them an email explaining what I was trying to achieve and asked for their advice. They responded promptly and recommend a basic 3d printer which turned out absolutely fit for purpose. Ordered online and with good communication i had printer within days. Will definitely return when I upgrade. This printing stuff is very addictive.
