Special Purpose Filaments

  • Flexible Plastic TPU Filament

Thermoplastic PolyUrethane is a very popular flexible plastic. It is very easy to 3d print TPU compared to other types of TPE materials. It works well with most popular 3d printers including Creatbot, Makerbot, FlashForge, Prusa, Creality, etc It is an ideal first flexible material for designs where you need flexiblity without wanting excessive expansion & elongation. If you want rubbery stretchy prints, then please see our NinjaFlex filament. If you want very strong Flexible 3d prints that exhibit some similarity to HDPE / LDEP then please consider NinjaTech Cheetah Filament This listing is for a 1 KG roll of 1.75mm Flexible plastic filament. Also available in 3mm filament (2.85mm diameter), please see other listing.
  • eLastic 87A TPE Flexible 3D Printing Filament

Thermoplastic Elastomeric is a broad category of flexible plastic filaments. This is grade 87A which is quite elastic, yet slightly easier to 3d print than the softer grade like 85A. This grade was designed because to work better with most popular direct drive extruder 3d printers including Creatbot, Makerbot, FlashForge Creator, Prusa, Wanhao, etc without requiring extensive modifications. It is not ideal for use with bowden head 1.75mm 3d printers like Creality Ender, however, you still have a better chance of using 87A with a cheaper bowden machine than you would a 85A NinjaFlex. For cheaper bowden machines we recommend you start with Grade 95A as it is most likely to print successfully. This is a 1 KG roll of 1.75mm Flexible plastic filament. If you want very rubbery stretchy prints that could even be used for some gaskets, please see our NinjaFlex filament. If you want very durable rubbery 3d prints that exhibit some similarity to HDPE / LDPE then please consider NinjaTech Cheetah Filament

  • 3D4Makers C8 3D Printing Filament 1.75mm 750g

Facilan™ C8 is a type of filament specifically designed for 3D printing. It is known for its excellent printability and high strength properties compared to traditional PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament. One notable advantage of Facilan™ C8 is its ability to print without visible layers. This means that the printed object will have a smooth and seamless appearance, devoid of any visible lines or layers that are typically seen with other filament types. This makes Facilan™ C8 ideal for printing objects that require a high level of aesthetic finish. In addition to its superior surface finish, Facilan™ C8 also possesses enhanced strength properties compared to PLA. The filament has good dimensional stability, which means that the printed objects are less prone to warping or shrinking during the printing process. This allows for greater structural integrity and accuracy in the printed parts.
  • ColorFabb LW PLA Made in Netherlands - A First in New Zealand

What is LWPLA? Its the First filament of its kind to use active foaming technology to achieve lightweight, low density PLA parts. • PVA is commonly used as a soluble support material for 3d prints. The new ePVA+ works with ABS & many other materials! Some delicate 3d prints or items that need really good surface finish, need to use a lot of support. Because of that, the complex support material can be difficult to manually remove & it can even crack the actual part while being removed. PVA solves the problem because you 3d print the main part with 1 head using PLA & print the supports with the other head using PVA. It is the best soluble material for dual extruder 3d printers especially when printing with PLA. This PVA is top quality & will deliver superb results on any 3D Printer. 0.5Kg roll of 1.75mm filament in a plain natural colour.

The Best Grade PEEK 3D Printer Filament

This 3D4Makers PEEK filament is made in Netherlands using the absolute best Luvocom 3F 9581 formulation. The material is approved according to EN ISO 10993-1, -5 and -12*, UN-ECE R.118.03 (fire behaviour of materials in buses) and meets the NORSOK M 710 requirements. This is a Higher Flow PEEK created specifically for Additive Manufacturing to offer better Printability than other peek filaments on the market. It is a completely natural beige peek product which will give you a base filament as close to natural peek machining block colour as possible. PEEK is the best material for anything functional & mechanical, that needs to perform as closely to a metal like aluminum as possible while still being a plastic that is 3d printable. So its the perfect choice for Gears, Screws, Cogs, even complex worm wheel assembly parts are fine. That includes Hinges & other loading applications. It is also ideal for electronics enclosures where the enclosure needs to offer electrical & heat insulation, strength, flame retardance & element resistance including wet or organic aqueus conditions. This makes it the ideal filament for medical applications like temporary implants, surgical guides, orthodontic reconstruction, maxillofacial surgery & many other use cases including aeronautical & aerospace. For demanding applications where all else would fail, PEEK is the KING of 3D printer materials. Strongest 3D Printing plastic available in 3d printing filament form. Handle up to 250C continuous operating temperature with Short term temperature performance up to 300 deg C. The most dense semi-crystalline polymer thats 3d printable, yet close enough to aluminium in many applications. Chemically resistant to most corrosive substances & high resistance to aqueous conditions.Used extensively in Aerospace & Automotive applications where you need mechanical strength even at high temperature. BioMedical material that can be used for the human body, dental implants, joint replacements, the list goes on. PEEK also has low resonance properties that are comparable to natural fibres such as wood, which is helpful when it comes to vibration & damping control. This reduces screws & fasteneres loosening under load out of a peek enclosure. Since PEEK is expensive, we are offering small quantity rolls for our kiwi 3D makers who want to try this cutting edge material. This is 0.2 KG of natural PEEK 3D Printing Filament.

  • This is a 2 item package that includes 500g soluble support filament as well as 1kg solvent powder used to dissolve the material. The VXL 130 Soluble Support Material is designed specifically to bond to high temp materials. It offers good adhesion for challenging materials like: PC+ABS, Nylon, PA12, PPS, PolyCarbonate, PEEK, PAEK, PEKK, as well as Carbon Fiber reinforced grades of these materials. It is also usable with PETG, ABS, ASA, HIPS & TPU. VXL 130 supports extruder temps upto 280C as well as heated chamber temps of 120C & bed temp of 130C. The VXL material is not hygroscopic like PVA, so it absorbs far less water & is More Reliable Than PVA or BVOH. Low moisture formulation helps with clog-free printing. The matched VXL EX solvent is a powder designed to be mixed into hot water, in which the VXL130 support material will dissolve. VXL EX Dissolving Powder is Environmentally friendly, Non-Caustic Detergent with pH < 11.5 Simply mix the washing powder into water at a 1:1 ratio with the weight of filament to be dissolved. For eg, if the supports are 50 grams of filament used, then you need 50 g of powder in hot water. The concentration of VXL EX in the water bath should be over 2.5 %, so use the water proportion accordingly. Depending on the amount of material & the exact filament chosen, the water temp should be between 60-80C. From there on you have a fast & easy to dissolve support material system that is non-toxic, non-caustic, non-flammable & about the same as standard detergent soap. WHY PREFER VXL Support rather than plain water based materials? Water-soluble support materials tend to degrade quickly inside the nozzle, leaving a clogged print head. They rapidly absorb humidity from the surrounding air. Also, water-soluble supports are incompatible with a wide range of materials. Thus, making the alkaline soluble Xioneer VXL an ultimate choice rather than conventional PVA, BVOH or PVOH. The VXL EX is developed specifically to dissolve alkaline soluble support materials quickly and easily to keep the entire process as smooth as possible.
