It prints reliably in several 3d printers including Creatbot, FlashForge, Prusa, Up, Makerbot Replicator, Creality X, etc
HIPS is impact resistant in low strength structural applications. HIPS is also FDA approved for food processing.
However it is famous in 3d printing for its ability to dissolve.
Please note: HIPS & Limonene dissolving is an advanced technique & not recommended for beginners.
Not all brands of ABS stick to all brands of HIPS. Settings need to be very fine-tuned, & warping greatly minimised with dense support.
Ooze shields & wipe towers are usually needed. We recommend machines with Active chamber control & Independant Extruders.
Not all plastics are equal, & not all of the cheapest ones work as well as you would want them to.
Getting a good quality plastic that works well for your printer is crucial to limit the issues that 3D Prints face.
